If, like Judith Beck, you don't just live in the middle of the vines according to your postal address, but actually live there, you develop a deep relationship with your own vineyards. The most beautiful of these, where she prefers to cultivate the traditional varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay, are located on the slopes and hills of the so-called Wagram. This is the name given to the slope level, most of which is very well exposed to the sun, which rises from the lowlands in the east of Lake Neusiedl to the so-called Parndorfer Platte. The soils here are extremely multi-layered and are often humic, gravelly, loamy, chalky or mineral within a single vineyard, which is an ideal basis for complex, multi-faceted wines that reflect their origin. Naturalness and identity are therefore the characteristics that Judith Beck wants to see and show in all her wines, which is why she has also been inspired by Rudolf Steiner and his ideas since 2007. In other words, she uses holistic methods in the cultivation of her organically farmed vineyards, which aim to keep the vines naturally healthy. These include greening, maintaining biodiversity, fertilizing with organic humus, manual labour, taking the moon cycles into account and more. Consequently, Judith Beck does not use pure yeasts, but instead "takes the risk" of letting her wines ferment spontaneously and thus truly naturally. Her wines are therefore natural, truthful, genuine and above all authentic in the best sense of the word. Always more reserved than loud. Always worth a second "look". In Judith Beck's words: "Anyone can make international style anywhere. Wines like mine are just me, here and now. And for me, that's the most beautiful thing there is. Like my life in the vines."
