Reštaurácia PaB Kuszmannov bazár
Self Description
Beer PaB offers craft beer, delicious food and the opportunity to take a photo with Franz Jozef Doméná PaB Kuszmann's Bazaar is Pálffy Brauerei craft beer and traditional beer snacks in an unconventional version from the hands of the culinary team under the baton of chef Jaroslav Bachleda. With its offer, the restaurant expands the options for visitors to Tatranská Lomnica to choose where to go for good food, beer and an authentic atmosphere. "In the Tatras, you don't have to have just bryndza dumplings. Our cuisine is extremely rich and we like to draw from it. In the restaurant's seasonal menu you will find langos or a variety of stews," says Jaro Bachleda, describing the concept of a restaurant based on the cuisine of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, of which we were once a part. The chef has extensive experience with gastronomy inspired by history, from the time when he worked as Head Chef in the à la carte restaurant of the Hotel Lomnica*****. Classic specialties have their own history, but at PaB, guests will find them spiced up with new ideas. "Where there is great beer on tap, a proper goulash cannot be missing. And guests will also find it on our menu, prepared with tender pork cheeks, washed down with 11 - the beautiful Otto's Vienna semi-dark lager. This dish also perfectly reflects our zero waste philosophy, as we serve it with bun dumplings, which we prepare from pastries from the Kuszmann's Bazaar bakery, which is just a few steps away. That's why it belongs to our icons," adds the chef. Excellent cuisine combined with draft beer of our own production and an informal atmosphere make PaB a favorite place for locals and tourists alike. And the chance that they can meet the esteemed emperor here is more than certain. “The whole concept feels very informal and relaxed, so we wanted to bring a bit of perspective into the interior of the space. And since the Pálffy Brauerei brand is closely linked to the Habsburgs, we played with the idea of what would happen if Emperor Franz Joseph himself could not resist our good beer and enjoyed a well-chilled one with us,” explains the “presence” of Franz Joseph Jaro Bachled. Kuszmann’s Bazaar, once the first general store in the Tatra Mountains, was once not only a place for shopping, but also for meetings and friendly conversations. Nowadays, it serves this purpose again, thanks to the PaB restaurant, which welcomes guests with good food and beer every day.
