Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2026

The name Schinterhof was first mentioned in 1380; behind it lies a centuries-old family history. Over the past 150 years, viticulture has once again taken centre stage at the farm, with an area of almost six hectares newly planted since 2007 thanks to the commitment of the owners' family: Franz "Sepp" Hofer and his son Herbert Hofer. The philosophy behind the work at the Schinterhof is to produce wines that are close to nature and expressive of the style of this special location in Kollmann in the lower Eisack Valley.
