The red wine Cune Real Rioja Reserva, vintage 2018 from the winery Bodegas Cune has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Tempranillo from the region La Rioja in Spain.
Milk chocolate in the nose, rum raisin, mulberry. Aroma's of "warmth". The palate is juicy, fine tannin makes for powerful drive, but the richness of body does not overshoot the mark, the structure remains compact, only the slightly compote finish flavours and the rather ripe acidity show the vintage. Fine salty notes nevertheless give the wine something apart. Certain ageing potential 20 years or more.
