The red wine Imperial Rioja DOCa Reserva, vintage 2016 from the winery Bodegas Cune has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo, Garnacha from the region Rioja Alta in Spain.
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle ochre glints on the rim. Fine touch of vanilla, blackberry, a hint of liquorice, pleasant herbal spice, some leather saddle notes. Juicy, ripe sour cherry, pleasant sweetness underneath, racy acidity, has bite, integrated tannins, dark fruit on the finish, still very youthful, will benefit from further bottle ageing. .
