Tasting Notes
Intense aromas of ripe mango, jasmine blossom and lemon balm. Refreshing on the palate with a stony minerality from the limestone, perfectly balanced with subtle tannins and a long, lingering finish. Definite ageing potential and a great match for grilled lobster, melons and green almonds.
More about the tastingThe Silvaner from this site is particularly well-known, but the Pinot Blanc also conveys the minerality of the shell limestone. Goethe would undoubtedly have been delighted!
More about the tastingApricot and aniseed biscuit on the nose, also some sesame oil and herbs plus a whiff of fine smoke. Pinot Blanc with good substance, structure and density, the acidity is ripe but lively enough to create balance. Good length and potential which will mature well. Ideal with food.
