Tasting Notes
Pale yellow gold with green reflections. On the nose fine tropical fruit, pineapple and yellow peach, as well as notes of crème brulée, some honey and brioche. Full-bodied on the palate, with the lush residual sugar countered by a racy acid structure. Incredibly precise and crystal clear despite the concentration, backed by a fine mineral savouriness and immense aromatic depth. Already well developed but has certain ageing potential for many decades.
More about the tastingPale yellow gold with light green reflections. Initially a little shy on the nose, then fine tropical fruit, pineapple, yellow peach, notes of crème brulée, a little honey and brioche. Full-bodied on the palate, lush residual sugar that is countered by a racy acidity, incredibly precise and crystal clear despite the concentration, a fine, traminer-like bitter touch, immense aromatic depth. This is how the wonderfully baroque 1967 could have been in its youth. This is the stuff of which the legends of the future will be woven. (PM).
