Tasting Notes
November 2005: Medium, bright ruby garnet, broad ochre touch. Fine animal spice on the nose, smoky, enormously complex. Concentrated on the palate, but you can sense a rather dry acidity, slight astringency, suede, salty finish, becomes creamy with air, animal nuances return, very multi-layered aromas in the aftertaste. A wine that has undoubtedly seen its very best years, but is clearly more than just a reflection of its former glory.
