Tasting Notes
November 2005, Magnum: Deep ruby garnet, delicate ochre rim, fine sweet nose, raisins, velour, rum figs, blueberries, some balsam. Builds nicely in the glass, notes of lavender and camphor appear with air. Fresh on the palate, lively acidity structure, powerful, delicate nougat, preserved cherries, fine nuances of dried spices, thyme, marjoram, lavender again, sweet, reminiscent of great Burgundies or Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
