The red wine Carruades de Lafite, vintage 2008 from the winery Château Lafite-Rothschild has been rated in 2012 with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Pauillac in France.
Dark ruby colour, purple reflections. Dark berry fruit with delicate vegetal undertones on the nose, leafy savouriness, tobacco, delicate hint of nougat. Juicy, initially rather red berry on the palate, fine blueberry confit, fine tannins, mineral-salty finish, fresh cherry in the aftertaste, lemony touch in the aftertaste.
