The red wine Carruades de Lafite, vintage 2016 from the winery Château Lafite-Rothschild has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot from the region Pauillac in France.
Deep ruby, opaque core, purple glints, faintly lighter at the rim. Dark berries with a tobacco-herbal undertone, followed by delicate hints of wood, and fresh orange zest. Taut, tightly woven, delicate red berry nuances, well-integrated supporting tannins, salty-mineral finish. Fresh and stimulating, has definite potential for development.
