The red wine Barolo Vigna Rionda Riserva DOCG, vintage 2006 from the winery Massolino Vigna Rionda has been rated in 2012 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Brilliant rich ruby colour, with a garnet rim. Very distinct, "cool" nose of ripe dark plum, raspberry, with some spicy notes behind it. Beautiful ripe fruit in the attack, opens up with a lot of dense vivid tannins, multi-layered, hearty and long, and a few years of additional ageing will certainly only be an advantage.
