The red wine »Grand Vin« Syrah, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Axel Bauer has been rated in 2022 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Baden in Germany.
A "warm" aroma, with a hint of raisins, but also notes of almond and pepper. Very dense on the palate with grainy, ripe, slightly clinging tannins. Slightly ester-y on the palate and still rather closed. Rich with ageing potential and ripe acidity. The fleshy, flawlessly ripe phenolics especially give the wine appeal and perspective.
