Tasting Notes
On the nose, a pleasing, subtle patina from ageing in wooden barrels and vivid mineral aromas. On the palate, a still taut, fine-grained but evident tannin, the texture is balanced with juiciness, tactile minerality and a slight viscosity.
More about the tastingSmoky aroma, herbal and savoury. Little obvious fruit at this stage - rather savoury. Laurel. The palate starts creamy, then adds a very dense, yet powerful tannin to the powerful body. Substantial and mineral, for medium maturation.
More about the tastingBright red berry notes with balsamic mineral undertones. Mint. On the palate the wine has good density, shows mellow tannins in quite good quantity, juiciness and acidity make the construction light-footed. A terroir-driven communal-level wine with good balance and very good length.
