The sweet and dessert wine Scharzhofberger Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese, vintage 2005 from the winery Weingut Egon Müller-Scharzhof has been rated in 2007 with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Moselle in Germany.
Light gold with a vital, green shimmer. A basket of fresh tropical fruit on the nose, ripe peach and apricot fruit, honey, black peppercorn and lavender. Dense, almost oily consistency on the nose, incredibly complex mouthfeel, enormous acidity, salty extract notes, the never-ending primary fruit dominates the finish, a true Riesling orgy in an initial phase. A multi-layered wine with a brilliant character whose precision captivates all the senses.
