The white wine »R« Ruländer Spätlese trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Reinhold und Cornelia Schneider has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Ruländer from the region Baden in Germany.
Intense and buttery on the nose with melon, pear, stewed quince, toasted walnuts and mineral-chalky notes. On the palate, one experiences the rudiments of a revival of the old Ruländer tradition, with a soft, slightly viscous texture, full-body and an unmistakable residual sweetness coupled with melting phenolics. A monumental Spätlese that draws its tension from the minerality. Long and youthful.
