Tasting Notes
Deep crimson with ochre reflections and broad rim brightening. Black truffle note dominates, hints of black berries and some mint, fine ethereal nuances, some nougat, some liquorice in the background and a floral touch, a very complex bouquet. Elegant, fully ripe cherry, fine lemon nuances, fully integrated ripe tannins, delicate acid arc, mineral and taut, cherry touch on the finish, sweet echo, a hint of chocolate, perfectly matured old-school Pomerol of the top class. From tip to toe a delicate wine that still has a lot of certain ageing potential in it. Counts among the best 1982s in Pomerol like Pétrus, Le Pin or Vieux Château Certan.
