On the main square, the classically furnished café invites you to take a sweet break: the cake counter offers traditional cakes, imaginative home-made creations, chocolate and pralines - all homemade. Creamy ice-cream and Lienz Lebzelt complete the offer.
In Matrei, the down-to-earth coffee house combines creamy cappuccino with homemade cakes, meringues and seasonal tarts. If you stay longer, you can order freshly baked pizza or use the free Wi-Fi - all with a view of the mountains.
Tucked away in the baroque courtyard is a quiet breakfast scene with croissants warm from the oven, coffee and a changing selection of cakes. Seasonal dishes are also on the menu at lunchtime. In the evening, the atmosphere remains relaxed - with wine or a glass of Champagne.
The bakery, which has been family-run since 1774, produces up to 40 types of cakes and pastries every day, including gluten- and lactose-free varieties. If you like, you can order a breakfast with barista coffee, fine chocolates or Italian-style ice cream.
