Barrier-free Cafés in Tyrol
Coffee becomes a journey of discovery here: From the robust Arabica-Robusta mix to the gently dried organic variety, every bean undergoes precise roasting in the roastery in Tschamlerstraße. Those who want more can refine their own preparation skills in the workshop.
On the main square, the classically furnished café invites you to take a sweet break: the cake counter offers traditional cakes, imaginative home-made creations, chocolate and pralines - all homemade. Creamy ice-cream and Lienz Lebzelt complete the offer.
In Matrei, the down-to-earth coffee house combines creamy cappuccino with homemade cakes, meringues and seasonal tarts. If you stay longer, you can order freshly baked pizza or use the free Wi-Fi - all with a view of the mountains.
Tucked away in the baroque courtyard is a quiet breakfast scene with croissants warm from the oven, coffee and a changing selection of cakes. Seasonal dishes are also on the menu at lunchtime. In the evening, the atmosphere remains relaxed - with wine or a glass of Champagne.
The bakery, which has been family-run since 1774, produces up to 40 types of cakes and pastries every day, including gluten- and lactose-free varieties. If you like, you can order a breakfast with barista coffee, fine chocolates or Italian-style ice cream.
