Koh Samui hotel opens herbal cannabis dispensary

The Beach Samui becomes the first hotel in southeast Asia to open an in-hotel herbal dispensary.

The Beach Samui on Thailand´s Koh Samui island will open the first herbal dispensary inside a hotel in southeast Asia. Guests can experience a combination of cannabinoids that should “enhance the natural journey of well-being,” the hotel announced, with the venue also offering guests the advice of two registered herbal pharmacists who have been trained under the regulations of Thailand´s Ministry of Public Health; there will also be a roster of guest practitioners. The products for the dispensary will be provided by T-Basa, a Thai cannabis industry leader, Element Apothec, and Ceremony, amongst others.

The hotel wants to become a leader in the field of so-called ‘plant-enhanced destination resorts’ and plans to expand throughout Thailand and other Asian countries under the brand name Sabai Sabai. “It has become our purpose to create a place where those wishing to discover the well-being benefits of medicinal herbs and cannabinoids can do so in a safe, monitored and elevated journey of outstanding hospitality, ultimate comfort, authentic experience and fundamental education,” said Charlotte Rose Melsom, founding partner of The Beach Samui and Chief Operating Officer of Sabai Sabai.
