New Gucci Cocktail Bar to Open in Florence

A new Gucci café and cocktail bar is about to open in the Piazza della Signoria in the Italian city of Florence.

The all-day café and cocktail bar called Gucci Giardino 25 will open in the next few weeks, Corriere della Sera reported. It will be the latest addition to the Gucci Garden, the multi-disciplinary space conceived by Alessandro Michele, Gucci's creative director.

The name pays homage not only to the Gucci Garden but the number 25 which is reportedly dear to the Italian designer and often present in his luxury creations.

All-day venue

Corriere della Sera says the 16-seat establishment will open all day, from breakfast to after-work drinks. Breakfast will reportedly be a modern interpretation of international classics, with Italian pastry specialties and creations inspired by Japan and Mexico. Fine blends of tea and coffee will also be on the offer.

It will be led by Martina Bonci, of Umbrian origin, who has worked in various clubs throughout Italy and has a passion for mixology.

The Piazza della Signoria is an L-shaped square located between the Duomo and the River Arno, and represents the heart of political life in Florence.
