Copenhagen Welcomes “CABIN”: A New Coffee Haven from the “Bar Vitrine” Team
Copenhagen’s café scene is expanding once again: the team behind “Bar Vitrine” is launching “CABIN”, a serene new coffee bar dedicated to craftsmanship, calm design, and everyday rituals.
A new coffee destination is opening in central Copenhagen: Today, on December 3, the team behind Bar Vitrine will unveil CABIN, a minimalist coffee bar designed as the latter’s “younger sibling.” Located on Store Kongensgade 32—just steps from Restaurant Barabba—CABIN brings together exceptional coffee, thoughtful design, and a focus on the quiet rituals that shape daily life.
The bar is a collaboration between restaurateur Riccardo Marcon and FRAMA founder Niels Strøyer Christophersen, whose partnership at Bar Vitrine has already become a fixture of Copenhagen’s culinary landscape. At CABIN, the duo continues their shared philosophy of simplicity, quality, and human-scale hospitality. Bar Vitrine’s head chef and partner Dhriti Arora contributes a rotating selection of pastries and small savory bites, crafted to complement the coffee experience.
CABIN will be the only coffee bar in Copenhagen to serve a continuous offering from Tim Wendelboe, the renowned Oslo-based roastery known for its sustainable sourcing and precise roasting style. The coffee program will be led by head barista Jun Nishimura, who brings years of experience from Japan’s specialty coffee scene and Copenhagen’s Prolog Coffee.
The interior, developed by FRAMA, a multidisciplinary Danish design brand, reflects a warm and understated aesthetic: pinewood architecture, built-in seating, and tactile materials meant to create a moment of calm amid the bustle of Store Kongensgade.
More than just a café, CABIN positions itself as a quiet retreat—an urban pause designed for reflection, conversation, and the pleasure of craft.
