Uber Is Bringing Boat Experiences to Europe’s Coastal Hotspots

Your next European summer escape is about to get a nautical upgrade: Uber and Click&Boat are launching a new boat-booking service across coastal destinations in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Croatia — making yacht days and seaside escapes as easy as hailing a ride.

Uber is taking its services from the streets to the sea this summer. In partnership with Click&Boat the ride-hailing platform is launching “Uber Boat” across 23 coastal destinations in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Croatia. Launching first in France in mid-June, the service will be available in destinations including Nice, Cannes, Saint-Tropez, Marseille, Toulon, Paris and Annecy, before expanding further across Europe. Other participating destinations include Mallorca, Barcelona, Split and Dubrovnik — locations synonymous with Mediterranean summer glamour. Rather than functioning as a water taxi, the service focuses on leisure experiences such as sunset cruises, Riviera-style day trips, beach hopping and excursions to hidden coves.

No boating licence or prior experience is required, as every booking comes with a professional skipper. Describing the collaboration as “the ultimate shortcut to unforgettable memories on the water”, Click&Boat brings a fleet of more than 55,000 vessels to the platform, ranging from motorboats to luxury yachts.

Prices are expected to remain in line with current Click&Boat listings, starting at around $285 per day, while Uber One members will receive 10 per cent back in Uber credits. As Mediterranean travel continues to lean into experience-driven luxury, Uber Boat aims to make exploring Europe’s coastline as seamless as ordering a ride.
