Easter market at Franz-Jonas-Platz
February 27 to April 5, 2026, daily from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
The Easter market on Franz-Jonas-Platz in Floridsdorf offers regional arts and crafts, fresh spring flowers and lovely Easter decorations. Children are entertained with ring games, while the traditional blessing of palm consecration on Palm Sunday provides a festive highlight.
Kalvarienberg Festival in Hernals
March 19 to April 5, 2026, Mon-Fri 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sat. & Sun. 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Visitors can look forward to the traditional Easter bonfire, as well as a colorful program featuring puppet theatre, magicians and interactive stations for children. Adults can enjoy handcrafted goods, regional delicacies and live music.
Easter market am Hof
March 20 to April 6, 2026, Mon-Thu 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Fri-Sun & public holidays 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
More than 50 exhibitors present their products on this historic square, with a special focus on glass and ceramics. Covered stalls allow visitors to admire and purchase works of art made of wood, felt, silver and silk in any weather. Culinary highlights include Baumkuchen, churros, baked potatoes, waffles, crêpes and hearty specialties.
Old Viennese Easter market at Freyung
March 20 to April 6, 2026, daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
The Altwiener Ostermarkt offers traditional handicrafts and Easter decorations. Visitors can learn how to tie palm bouquets, marvel at the famous "Easter egg mountain", and enjoy a varied program with music, theatrical performances and children's activities. Culinary offerings include regional treats and seasonal specialties.
Easter Market at Schönbrunn Palace
March 25 to April 19, 2026, daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Set against the impressive backdrop of Schönbrunn Palace, around 60 exhibitors present a wide range of arts and crafts – from hand-painted eggs to Easter decorations made of glass, ceramics and wood. Families can look forward to a diverse program including children's workshops, a straw maze, a Ferris wheel and craft stations. Culinary delights include langos, potato pancakes and Italian specialties.
Easter market at the Hirschstetten flower gardens
March 26 to 29 and April 2 to 6, 2026, daily 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Vienna's municipal gardens invite guests to Easter celebrations with a market, children's program and blooming spring scenery. In addition to culinary specialties and handmade Easter items, visitors can enjoy face painting, a carousel, creative handicrafts and even plant their own herbs.
