Increasing demand for private jets
Only very few people can afford to travel by private jet; 0.003 percent of the world's population enjoy this privilege. Nevertheless, the demand for private jet travel has increased in recent years, as the time reported. A good 27,000 aircraft were counted worldwide in 2024. These are not only used for business purposes or for security reasons, but also for vacation trips.
Travel after Christmas
The week after Christmas remains the peak season for private aviation. Between December 26 and 30, 2025, family and group travel will increase particularly sharply. In the DACH region, Munich, Hamburg, Innsbruck, Salzburg and Zurich airports in particular recorded a significant increase in private jet departures.

"Even though city breaks are still very much in vogue, we are seeing an increase in bookings for long-haul destinations," says Andy Jurd, Senior Vice President Private Jets UK & Europe at Air Partner. "We see a clear shift towards vacation trips with sun, space and experiences."
