Laurel & Cardy Cocktail

This drink infused with espresso takes some time to prepare but the end result unleashes a variety of different flavours.

Ingredients
45 ml rum
15 ml Kahlúa liqueur
15 ml Cointreau
1 teaspoon(s) cardamom
30 ml espresso
30 ml orange juice
2 egg whites
20 ml bay leaf syrup

Begin two days ahead.

  • Bring the ingredients apart from the cardamom to a boil and then remove from the heat and let stand for two days.
  • Heat up the cardamom and infuse for 2-3 min.
  • Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.
  • Garnish with a slice of dried orange.

Tip:

Bay leaf syrup: Use 100g sugar, 100ml water and 2 bay leaves. Bring to a boil and then simmer for five min. Let steep for at least 15 min and remove bay leaves.
