Ateljé Finne
Self Description
Ateljé Finne
Restaurant Ateljé Finne is located in the former studio of sculptor Gunnar Finne (1886–1952), in the heart of Helsinki near Temppeliaukio Church and the Helsinki Art Museum (HAM).
The main dining room is a bright space with high ceilings, ideal for displaying original plaster casts of the artist’s works. The restaurant also features two more intimate rooms: a balcony that seats up to 10 guests, and a lower floor that accommodates groups of up to 20. Both spaces showcase a curated selection of art from the artist’s descendants.
Since 2007, Ateljé Finne has been serving Finnish cuisine based on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The cooking is precise and designed to highlight the quality of the raw materials. Ateljé Finne is not about haute cuisine or demonstrating elaborate techniques—it’s simply fine dining as we see it. The menu evolves gradually throughout the year, with one lasting exception: the Licorice Crème Brûlée, a signature dessert that has remained on the menu for nearly two decades.
Service is attentive yet discreet, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the moment.
Our compact wine list features a thoughtful selection of both classic and modern choices by the glass, each chosen to complement the dishes. We also offer a cellar selection of rare and classic wines, including treasures from Ulysse Collin, Raveneau, and Chave.
Ateljé Finne is a modern classic in the Helsinki dining scene.
