In Starý Smokovec, on the corner, that's the bend, in a house with typical mountain architecture, Spitz restaurant & bar was opened in 2020. It came from the vision of Adam Žampa, historically the most successful Slovak representative in downhill skiing. Chef Stanislav Samko uses quality ingredients from the Tatra region, and therefore cooperates with local farms such as the JFR Bulls farm, EKOfarma Salatín or the Petrov Majer family farm. The menu is not extensive, but it offers a quality selection of specialties, although the Thai curry at this place was quite a surprise. But it probably has its fans here. The dishes are delicious, well-prepared, and the service has improved significantly. Spitz is a restaurant where the energy of the mountains and a friendly atmosphere are combined.
