Ein Whisky aus 100% dunkel geröstetem Roggenmalz, gelagert für 8 Jahre in einem gebrauchten Rotweinfass (Pinot Noir vom Weingut Schloss Gobelsburg).

Die dunkle Röstung des Malzes verleiht dem Whisky absolut einmalige Noten nach Nuss, Nougat und Schokolade. Trotzdem bleibt er auch der Würze des Roggens treu.
Durch die spezielle Lagerung im Pinot Noir Fass ist der Whisky sehr vollmundig und fruchtig.

Im Glas erstrahlt der Whisky in einem kräftigen Strohgelb bis Bernstein. In der Nase ist er sehr komplex und fruchtig – schwer ölig aber mild und zurückhaltend. Aromen von Pflaume bis Dörrzwetschke die eine schöne fruchtige Süße ergeben. Typische Nussnougatnote abgerundet mit den klassischen Vanilletönen des Fasses. Sehr komplex und vielseitig. Am Gaumen ist er dicht und vollmundig mit Aromen wie Zitrusfrucht und Bittermandel dann zeigt sich die Kraft des Roggens mit Vanille, getrockneten Feigen, Brombeeren und Johannisbeeren sowie Rosinen und Schokolade. Multi-layered aroma of bread spices, pumpernickel, chocolate and mature wood. Wonderfully juicy mouthfeel again with chocolate. Finely balanced nuances with a surprising elderberry note in the long finish.
