The actor has officially unveiled »Three Hearts«, a Caribbean-inspired spirit he created together with Bobby DeLeon.
Following initial rumors that circulated on Instagram a few months ago, Johnny Depp has now announced the official launch of Three Hearts Rum—a Caribbean-inspired spirit he developed with his longtime friend and collaborator Bobby DeLeon. »Three Hearts« is the result of a lengthy maturation process. The rum is produced in the Dominican Republic and aged for five years in ex-bourbon barrels and partly in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, before maturing for an additional two years in ex-cognac barrels—seven years in total. The brand is set to launch first in the United States and selected European markets.
The name »Three Hearts« is inspired by one of Johnny Depp’s most meaningful tattoos, dedicated to his closest loved ones. The bottle features a flag composed of the actor’s tattoos, each carrying personal significance. Future editions are intended as a tribute to the cultural heritage of the production region, to which both founders feel deeply connected—not least because of the filming of the Pirates of the Caribbean series, in which Johnny Depp played the iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow.
