Die 1716 gegründete Quinta do Vallado ist eines der ältesten und bekanntesten Weingüter des Douro-Tals. Es liegt am Ufer des Corgo, eines Nebenflusses des Douro, direkt an dessen Mündung und in der Nähe der Stadt Peso da Régua. Die Quinta gehörte der legendären Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira und ist bis heute im Besitz ihrer Nachkommen. Aroma : Reichhaltig in der Nase, geräucherte Vorschläge, verbindert die Noten von Nüssen mit Zigarren. Geschmack : Sehr rund im Mund, salbungsvoll und likoros, mit ziemlich Frische. Service : Muss zwischen 15ºC und 17ºC serviert werden, erfordert keine Dekantierung. Kann mit Hartkäse, Vorspeisen oder Gebäck kombiniert werden.

Light amber. Quite complex on the nose with ripe fruit, tobacco and nuts, subtly smoky. Round and balanced on the palate with beautifully integrated sweetness and dried fruit notes in the medium-long finish.
