Simone Favini and Claudio Widmer, the two brains behind Fawino, met while studying oenology in Changins. Together, the career changers realised their dream of owning their own winery in Ticino in 2012, which quickly became an insider tip. However, the consistently appealing quality of their individual, elegant Merlot wines, which are produced with sufficient restraint and as little intervention as possible in the cellar, is no longer a secret.
