Falstaff Wineguide Switzerland 2023/24

History is omnipresent at the Einsiedeln Monastery Winery. The cellar of the winery, where vinification still takes place today, was built as early as 1704. The approximately twelve hectares of vineyards that are cultivated today are distributed along Lake Zurich and also include the island of Ufenau, which has been owned by Einsiedeln Abbey since 965. Cellarmaster Dominic Mathies and his team create an extensive range of harmonious wines in the winery, primarily from classic grape varieties.
