Matijasevic Vinogradi is a small winery located in the heart of the historic Sumadija region in central Serbia near the village of Orasac. Fifteen hectares of vineyards are cultivated at the winery, covering the villages of Orasac, Kopljari and Banja. The international grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Merlot and Malbec, as well as the indigenous Smederevka and Prokupac are grown here. In total, there are around 55,000 vines in the parcels. White wines are bottled as cuvées, such as the "7 Eichen", a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Smederevka and Pinot Blanc, but the Sauvignon Blanc is also bottled as a single varietal wine, with the "SoviNoa" coming into the glass in an emphatically fruity style with only a small and measured maturation in wooden barrels. This Sauvignon Blanc is considered one of the best in the country. The SoviNoa Fumé Blanc, a Sauvignon Blanc selected from the best ripe berries and matured in French oak, exudes an absolutely international flair and is highly rated by critics and experts. Rosé wine is produced from Merlot on the one hand, but also in a highly original way from the rather rare Muscat Hamburg variety. The red Penant for the "7 Oaks" consists of Merlot and Prokupac, the "Chukundeda" is dedicated to the Prokupac variety, whereby the fruit is emphasised by fine oak tones. The "3 Täler" red wine, on the other hand, is a pure Merlot whose grapes actually come from three valleys. A reference to the latest trend in Eastern Europe is the orange wine "Belina Orange - Smederevka". The high ratings and numerous awards underline the leading position in Serbia that the Matjiasevic Vinogradi winery occupies in the country.
