Falstaff Wine Guide Italy 2024

Terre di Balbia was founded in 2001 and is located in the medieval village of Altomonte in Calabria. Grapes of the Magliocco, Gaglioppo and Merlot varieties grow on eight hectares of vineyards. Cultivation is based on holistic management of the vine ecosystem, focusing on the health of the plants, the preservation of biodiversity and the reduction of environmental pollution. Three single-varietal wines are produced from the hand-picked grapes: the "Fervore" (100% Magliocco), the "Ligrezza" (100% Gaglioppo) and the "Blandus" (100% Merlot).
