Terre di Balbia was founded in 2001 and is picturesquely located in the medieval village of Altomonte. With an area of just eight hectares, it is more of a boutique winery. The indigenous Magliocco and Gaglioppo varieties are cultivated, as well as some Merlot. Cultivation is based on holistic management of the vine ecosystem, focussing on preserving diversity and reducing environmental impact. Three single-varietal wines are produced from the hand-picked grapes: the "Fervore" (100 per cent Magliocco), the "Ligrezza" (100 per cent Gaglioppo) and the "Blandus" (100 per cent Merlot).

Terre di Balbia was founded in 2001 and is located in the medieval village of Altomonte in Calabria. Grapes of the Magliocco, Gaglioppo and Merlot varieties grow on eight hectares of vineyards. Cultivation is based on holistic management of the vine ecosystem, focusing on the health of the plants, the preservation of biodiversity and the reduction of environmental pollution. Three single-varietal wines are produced from the hand-picked grapes: the "Fervore" (100% Magliocco), the "Ligrezza" (100% Gaglioppo) and the "Blandus" (100% Merlot).
