Weingut Albert Glas

Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2022

The Albert Glas winery began growing grapes in Essingen in 1958 on two and a half hectares of vineyards and now cultivates almost 20 hectares of vineyards between the mountains of the Pfalz Forest and the Rhine. "Never compromise" is the motto of owner and cellar master Dominik Glas; "Fresh acidity, natural aromas from the grapes and skills learned over generations characterise our wines." The "Black Label" line in particular shows ambition and stature, such as the stylish Sauvignon Blanc and the substantial Merlot. An appealing debut in this guide.
