Sascha Nehb presses late harvests of Pinot Gris and Chardonnay at surprisingly fair prices. They impress with a good balance of elements and can be confidently relied upon to accompany a menu. But year after year, the winemaker demonstrates his expertise in red wine: whether Dornfelder or Cabernet Mitos, both aged in barriques, both develop structure and profile with him. And few have understood and internalised the essence of the Pinot Meunier as well as Sascha Nehb: the warm 2018 vintage must first be declined with such skill.
