Falstaff Wine Guide Germany 2026

The Ritzheim winery has its origins in a mixed agricultural operation; in those days, the fields and vineyards were worked with a horse. Today, the winery is run by the sixth generation of Geisenheim graduates, Carsten Ritzheim, who brings fresh ideas to the business, but is also fond of the 60-year-old wooden barrels that his grandfather used. We like the varietal wines with a fine phenolic flavour that have been produced for the first time and are very fairly priced. Our tip is the clear, dry Goldmuskateller. Well done.
