The red wine Volta di Bertinga Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Bertinga has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot
It has a rich ruby colour, with a fine shimmer of purple. There is an exciting nose with notes of blueberry, blackberry, some blood orange, and tobacco. The palate has plenty of polished tannins, which are finely meshed, as well as a crisp acidity, providing tension, although it is somewhat brittle on the finish.
