Tasting Notes

Tasting from 11.10.2023: Ulrich Sautter

Straw yellow with a very light bronze shimmer. Berry aroma, already open, some hay, also some apple. On the palate the wine is medium-bodied, round and supported by a slight fruitiness. The substance (with very slightly astringent phenolics integrating a hint of green tones) is good, the acidity takes away the heaviness of the structure. A rich varietal type.

Light straw-coloured. Somewhat fermented aromas on the nose, ice candy (isoamyl acetate), pear, some honeydew melon, a hint of blossom honey. The palate develops a good fullness, supple, almost viscous motifs are contrasted by a mealy phenolics, the acidity is ripe but gives the wine sufficient support. The full-bodied components are concentrated in the finish.
