Tasting from 11.10.2024: Ulrich Sautter

Caraway, black pepper, yeasty and savoury notes. Also bitter orange and slate, but nothing loud, everything discreet. The palate opens creamy, with texture and richness and with a fine thread of acidity, then unfolds dense and powerful but at the same time ripe and not astringent tannin. Tactile minerality escorts it all into an unusually long finish for this year.
