The red wine Barolo DOCG Pichemej, vintage 2020 from the winery Agricola Gian Piero Marrone has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a brightening core. Dried raspberries on the nose, slight hints of summer truffle, candied orange peel, raspberry, followed by a slight animalistic note of leather saddle. Present acidity on the palate, slightly textured, compact, juicy and balanced. Clear palate drive with cool, persistent fruit. Long finish. Still needs time!
