Powerful ruby with a brightening rim. Intense and appealing nose of dried porcini mushrooms and dried tomatoes, with ripe wild raspberries and some pomegranate in the background. Lots of gripping, hearty tannins on the palate, shows powerful pressure, very well-integrated alcohol, somewhat rough on the finish.
