Sparkling, intense ruby purple; very compact and densely woven nose, lots of ripe fruit, raspberries, plums, a hint of pickled cherries, inviting; juicy and supple on the palate, lots of dark cherry fruit, unfolds with densely woven tannins, a hint of plums, unfortunately the alcohol comes through strongly on the finish.
