The red wine Carduni Petit Verdot IGT, vintage 2007 from the winery Baglio di Pianetto has been rated in 2013 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Petit Verdot from the region Sicily in Italy.
Rich, deep, dark ruby purple colour, black core. Displaying a beautiful interplay between rich fruit, especially elderberry, and dark chocolate on the nose. Lots of vivid rich fruit, plus lovely spicy notes, building up with prominent finely meshed tannins, and unfolding beautifully. It is a grown-up and yet fresh wine, and a real pleasure!
