The red wine Ramione Sicilia DOC, vintage 2017 from the winery Baglio di Pianetto has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Nero d’Avola, Merlot from the region Sicily in Italy.
Intense garnet with a dark core. The nose is dominated by fresh herbs, thyme, a touch of pepper, leather and tomato leaf, some fruit in the background. Lively and hearty on the palate, with fine tannins, slightly earthy, round on the finish, good length.
