The red wine Grande Reserve, vintage 2023 from the winery Bio-Weingut Ettl has been rated in 2025 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Merlot from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Liquorice background with some herbal savouriness, a hint of candied orange zest, dried fruit, floral touch. Good complexity, tightly meshed, well-integrated tannin structure, mineral, dark berry fruit on the finish, a multi-layered food companion with certain ageing potential.
