The white wine »Edition SL« Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Bio Weingut Schaffner has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
The nose has yeasty and citrusy nuances. There is also a flinty flavour in the background. The palate is taut, lean, yet rich in extract, the finish flavours pick up the citrus fruit again (orange blossom). A dense, grippy, full-bodied, still young wine.
