Tasting from 16.04.2020: Benjamin Herzog und Dominik Vombach

Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Fine nuances of oak, pleasant roasted savouriness, delicate balsamic hints, black berries, but also notes of red forest berry confit, mineral touch, still somewhat restrained. Full-bodied, very complex, pronounced in fruit bouquet, firm, already well-integrated tannins, fine acidity that provides a pleasant freshness, very good length, nougat and savouriness on the finish, still very embryonic, a real Vin de Garde, should age for at least another three years. A Rioja monument.
