Tasting from 19.07.2016: Ulrich Sautter

A blend of Garnacha Blanca, Viura and Malvasia. Light gold in colour. The nose leads with a powerful woody character as well as hazelnut and candied fruit notes, alongside sweeter sponge cake and orange blossom. Supple and downright silky on the palate thanks to a lively acidity that supports the rich and round texture. Extremely well-integrated alcohol (label says 15%!) lends a feisty stature. Immensely extracted and dense, it's both mineral and creamy at the same time. Weighty, full, impressive, long - ultra modern in style.
