Tasting from 01.01.2016: Ulrich Sautter

Blueberry muffin, light milk chocolate, a hint of malty ripe notes, but also fresh-fruity small red berries, juicy, elegant palate, mild acidity and charmingly fine-grained, almost creamy tannins, spicy, complex finish with some pressure, finally appears stronger in alcohol than during the plateau phase of the palate impression. Overall an elegant wine with typical Reserva qualities, further potential for 5-8 years.

Dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, fine edge brightening. Some precious wood spice underneath ripe heart cherries, fine cassis notes, a hint of mandarin zest, some roasted aromas. Juicy, elegant, well-integrated tannin structure, complex acidity, red berry fruit on the finish, slightly salty in the aftertaste, good potential.
